Backcountry Touring Clinic & Avalanche Awareness Course:

Description:

Add a day of backcountry skiing or snowboarding to the standard Avalanche Awareness class. Learn how to use skins and descend variable off-piste snow and terrain. Then on Sunday be able to concentrate on snow stability tests, route-finding, and rescue skills.

For those with little or no experience using backcountry equipment, yet interested in using the gear and gaining some backcountry experience before participating in the avalanche course.

One evening classroom session and two full day field sessions

Fee

$320 per person plus tax.

UMA reserves the right to cancel or shorten the clinic if fewer than 2 participants register.
