Focus on steep ice technique, multi-pitch climbing and building ice anchors. This course is designed for graduates of Intro to Ice and moderately experienced climbers, and is limited to 3 participants per guide.
Description:
The instructor will evaluate students during a warm-up pitch, and give individuals the tips and techniques they need to progress in their desired direction, whether it is steeper ice, mixed routes, or multi-pitch.
Typically, the day includes a multi-pitch climb and rappel. Students are given a chance to build and equalize anchors under the guide’s supervision.
The venue depends on current conditions, student’s goals and class size. Usually held in Provo Canyon or Little Cottonwood Canyon.
